About

My name is Di and I was born in Brisbane, Australia, where I still live.

When I was little my parents used to make up stories for me and I would do the same for them.

I loved getting lost in my imagination and developed a life-long love for reading and making up stories.

I’ve been an early childhood teacher for – let’s just say – a LONG time!

For 10 years I worked as a behaviour specialist. This involved working with children with behaviour issues, their families and schools, across the Brisbane and Ipswich areas.

As well as teaching, I’ve worked as a salesperson of fine china, in gift stores, as a spare parts delivery driver (Yes – I know?!?) in a cafe and even a stint working in Harrods in London.

Today, though I live in suburbia, I’m surrounded by trees, bamboo (lots of bamboo!) and lots of Aussie wildlife.

My early morning walks are filled with the sound of birds and ideas for stories are all around me.
